Sedona Travel Guide

If you're looking for a weekend of relaxation, nature/adventure - or maybe a little bit of both - Sedona is a perfect place. You can spend the weekend relaxing at some of the many vortexes, enjoy time at the spa, or hike the many gorgeous trails. As a bonus - everywhere you look has a breathtaking view. Even as you drive into the town, the scenery is amazing, and the red rocks look like a movie backdrop. I've been to Sedona on two occasions - once as a "romantic" weekend getaway and another for a bachelorette party. Both times I had such a fun experience. Keep reading for the top 3 must-do's when visiting Sedona. And if you're planning a trip to Sedona, check out my Sedona travel guide.

Top 3 Things To Do When Visiting Sedona

Hike Devil’s Bridge

This full hike has gorgeous scenery of Sedona and leads you to a natural rock-like bridge you can cross. It takes about 2 hours to hike to the Bridge + back, but that includes stopping along the way to take pictures (you'll have a difficult time getting through the hike without taking pictures, the views are gorgeous). WARNING: This is not a good place to go if you’re afraid of heights. However, even though the actual walkway portion of the “bridge” seems extremely narrow, it’s much wider when you’re walking on it.

Slide Rock

Grab your bathing suit and venture to Slide Rock - a park with natural “water slides”. Even if you don't plan on going in the water, there is plenty of exploring to do. Also, the drive to Slide Rock is scenic and filled with many photo ops. This is a must for any Sedona travel guide!

Cathedral Rock

Cathedral Rock is an amazing place to see countless views of Sedona. It's also one of the many Vortex locations as well. You can see most of the views in about 1.5-2 hours (roundtrip). There are a few steep parts, but if you have the right shoes, it's worth it.
