Charleston Travel Guide
Charleston, South Carolina is my ABSOLUTE favorite city and is quickly becoming one of everyone's favorite places to visit. In fact, it's been the #1 destination in the US for the past 10 years. There is something so charming about the city and its architecture. Not to mention, the food is some of the top in the world. Charleston is the perfect destination for foodies, history buffs, and bachelorette parties. It's also great for a quick weekend trip or as a stop along a road trip to the South. Top 3 Things To Do When Visiting Charleston
Eat At Halls Chophouse
One of the first things I add to any Charleston travel guide is a dinner at Halls. As soon as you walk into Halls you're greeted by a piano player, the smell of delicious southern food, and a warm welcoming feeling. Halls is the true definition of Southern Hospitality, and staff are constantly coming by each table to make sure you’re having a perfect time. As if the service and atmosphere weren’t enough, the food is amazing. They're known for their steaks, creamed corn, and crab cakes, but you can't go wrong with any dish. It's one of my favorite restaurants in the world!
Sullivan’s Island
Sullivan's Island is a quaint 2.5-mile island, filled with shops, restaurants, beaches, and a little bit of history. Whether you're looking to swim in the Atlantic, eat a good meal, or see the historic Fort Moultrie, Sullivan's Island has a little bit of everything. A must is grabbing a bite to eat at Obstinate Daughter (my favorite is the Rutledge Pizza - it's amazing).
Watch The Sunset In Shem Creek
The sunsets in Charleston are gorgeous. One of my favorite places to watch the sunset is in Shem Creek. There are waterfront restaurants and bars with views of the Charleston harbor and marshland. Be sure to have dinner at Tavern & Table!
