If you’re looking for beach pool parties and chill vibes, Seminyak is the place. I heard mixed reviews before visiting, but I think whether you like it will depend where you go/what you’re looking to do. Personally, I loved it.
We started our Bali trip here to get the partying over with and then relax the remainder of the trip in Uluwatu and Ubud (lol). Since we were only there for one full day, we wanted to see as much as possible…so that meant cramming a lot in.
If I were to do it over again, I would’ve extended our trip one day and stayed in Seminyak for two full days to spend more time at each spot. I enjoyed them WAY more than I thought I would. Some of the spots we went to were in neighboring towns (Canggu, Legian), but they’re super close/easy to get to from Seminyak.
Day 1:
»IZE SEMINYAK: For the price, this hotel was pretty good and decently central to everywhere we wanted to go. It’s on a main street with a lot of restaurants and shopping as well.
»REVOLVER CAFÉ: This spot was a five minute walk from our hotel. It’s a hip coffee spot off the main street. We ordered the Killer Chiller Chocolate coffee + a White Latte + the Loaded Tots.
»KU DE TA: We came here for breakfast/drinks right on the water. As the day progresses, it turns into a livelier beach club, but it was pretty mellow when we were there. The Watermelon Martini was delicious.
»OLD MAN’S BAR: From Ku De Ta, we took a cab to Old Man’s bar, an old school surfer/beach bar vibe. I’ve heard this place turns into the spot to be at night.
»THE LAWN: Walking distance from Old Man’s Bar, The Lawn is a spot with outdoor “lawn” seating overlooking the ocean. We got spring rolls + drinks of course.
»FINN’S BEACH CLUB: We taxied here from The Lawn. Think Vegas pool party but right on the water, which is definitely my right up my alley.
»POTATO HEAD BEACH CLUB: From Finns, we walked down to the famous Potato Head Beach Club – and it totally lived up to our expectations. Another pool party scene right on the water.
»LA PLANCHA: We headed to La Plancha for sunset and it was amazing. Imagine lounging on a beanbag chair overlooking the ocean/sunset, surrounded by a beach full of people and colorful umbrellas. Throw in a cold glass of wine and speakers playing old dance hits, and you’ve got the best vibes. La Plancha is one of my top 10 spots I’ve ever been to.

Day 2:
»KYND COMMUNITY: We couldn’t leave Seminyak without checking out the ever so Instagram-able, Kynd Community a spot where they make fresh smoothie bowls + spell out any word(s) you want in mango.
»SEA CIRCUS: We headed to Sea Circus for breakfast, a place bursting with bright colors and obviously circus décor. We ordered the Avo Smash + Chili Scramble that had some sort of Potato Bread as the base- honestly, can you think of anything better than that?
»GROCER + GRIND: Our last stop in Seminyak was Grocer + Grind (yes, a third breakfast) where we heard we had to get the breakfast tacos.
